We focus a lot on content. That is the first place we start… on-page optimization. We have found that strong design and content is a great base for a successful SEO campaign. From there we do a lot of blogging, occasional press releases, and strategic link building on sites relative to our client’s industry.

How We Discovered Positionly

We decided to switch to Positionly after our old SERP tracking tool was just not cutting it. I did a ton of research and tried almost a dozen products before sticking with Positionly. I tried software like Raven (when they had a SERP tracker), SEOMoz (Moz), SEscout, SERP Scan, Rank Trackr, Serpfox, and many others, but I felt like all of them were missing “something”. The key benefits of using, and the reason why our company chose to go with Positionly were daily updates, great price, and very well designed UI. It was simple enough for the rest of my team to use and pick up very quickly.

The reports are great and our clients love them, they are excited to see their rankings in a report that they can understand.

Best Features

I love the graphs and the UI, it’s a pleasure logging into my account and using Positionly. The reports are great and our clients love them. They are excited to see their rankings in a report that they can understand. The iPhone app is the best, and I use it every day! We also use custom built software to manage our projects and clients, so using the API and integrating Positionly into our software is a great feature as well. Finally, now that the Add-ons feature was just released, it’s great to see that the software is growing and will allow us to “add-on” to it how we choose.

Everyday Tools

Reporting is the feature we use and rely on the most. We also use groups a lot, this helps us to sort out our keywords and keep them nice and tidy. A somewhat newer feature that we tend to use quite frequently now is the competitor tracking. It’s nice to show our clients when they are outranking their direct competitors!

I use the mobile application every day. My team also uses the mobile app on a daily basis as well. It’s very user friendly! Even our “not-so-tech-savy” employees find Positionly user friendly. In the past it was a burden checking results with our previous SERP tracking tool, now it’s a pleasure.

Also, I think the design is great, and I love that changing the color scheme to blue even matches our logo.

Online Marketing Performance

Positionly allowed us to put more effort into areas where it is needed (actually improving rankings, rather than figuring out rankings). We spend less time worrying and waiting for results when we get new results every day. We spend more time in front of the client than putting together spreadsheets of their results, when Positionly does it for us, and it looks nicer too.
